Flower Rentals in Toronto

Planning and budgeting a Toronto wedding in 2023 is a challenging, exciting task. You might notice how quickly you're going outside of your budget as you book vendors and purchase decor and apparel. On average, most couples spend 30% more than their original budget. Inflation and the high cost of living in Toronto are no joke. It's a good idea to research budget-friendly alternatives for some wedding items.

If flowers aren't your top priority, and you also don't want to DIY them, consider renting faux flowers for the week of your wedding. Most couples don't even know this is an option. Going to a craft store and purchasing all of your own flowers, assembling them, and then selling them again after the wedding is a lot of work. That's where I come in - I'm a Toronto-based florist that has a studio full of artificial flowers of every type and colour you could imagine. Each flower goes to dozens of weddings over its lifetime.

Here is a example of a realistic quote you could expect for real flowers in the Toronto area in 2023:

  • 1 Bridal bouquet - $250
  • 5 Bridesmaid bouquets - $80 each x 5 = $400
  • 7 Boutonnieres - $20 each x 7 = $140
  • 2 Corsages - $35 each x 2 = $70
  • 1 Head table piece - $300
  • 10 Reception Centerpieces - $100 each x 10 = $1000
  • Ceremony flowers (arch and aisle decor) - $400

This totals up to $2560.00 before taxes, delivery and setup.

Compare this to a quote you might get from my rent and return flower service:

  • 1 Bridal bouquet - $50
  • 5 Bridesmaid bouquets - $35 each x 5 = $175
  • 7 Boutonnieres - $9 each x 7 = $63
  • 2 Corsages - $12 each x 2 = $24
  • 1 Head table piece - $100
  • 10 Reception Centerpieces - $50 each x 10 = $600
  • Ceremony flowers (arch and aisle decor) - $200

This totals up to $1212.00 before taxes, delivery, and setup. This is more than 50% cheaper than real flowers. And since the rental period is a full week, a family member or friend can pick-up the flowers for you and wave all delivery and setup fees. Every order is completely customized. I work with couples months before their wedding to assemble their bouquets, boutonnieres and centrepieces. They receive sample images and make adjustments to each piece until they're satisfied. Then, the week before their wedding, they pick up their flowers.

Couples who use artificial flowers don't have to worry about refrigeration, flowers wilting in the heat, and cleaning up a huge mess after the reception. Rental flowers can be thrown in a box, transported in your car, and placed anywhere dry until your wedding begins.

Artificial flowers definitely lack the look, feel, and smell of real flowers, but if you're a bride on a budget, you need to get the most out of every penny. I definitely don't recommend artificial flowers to every couple, but I can help brides who are on a tight-budget, have flower allergies, or don't want the stress and unpredictability of live flowers on their wedding day. My mission is help brides have their dream wedding florals without the insane price tag or huge mess. And the beautiful thing is, the flowers I use in your wedding will see many future weddings too.
